Cost of Attendance NSU Financial Aid FAQ Important Financial Resources NSU |
Payment Students often have a balance due after all sources of aid and scholarships have been applied. NSU offers payment plans to qualified students through the Office of the University Bursar. Penalties for Late Payments Payment is due in full at the time of registration. If the account is not paid by 30 days after the start of the semester, a hold is placed on the student's account and a $50 late fee is charged. This hold prevents the student from registering for future courses or accessing their Webstar account, the RecPlex, and other resources. If the student account retains a balance after 90 days from the start of the semester, the student risks having his or her account sent to collections. This can lead to further difficulties, such as damaging a student's credit rating and obstructing the ability to attend other schools after leaving NSU. A student attempting to gain admission to a university or college must disclose all prior institutions attended. The student then needs to provide transcripts from those previous institutions to the new school. If a balance is owed at any previous institution, those transcripts will not be released until the balance is paid. |
