Mental Health Counseling
Description
The NSU master of science (M.S.) in mental health counseling, offered through the Center for Psychological Studies, trains students for counseling careers in such diverse settings as social service agencies, mental health clinics, hospitals, personnel offices, and schools.
Requirements
The Dual Admission Program in mental health counseling is open to both freshmen and transfer students. Candidates should pursue a bachelor's degree in psychology. Freshmen candidates must have a 3.0 GPA and combined 1000 SAT or 21 ACT scores. Transfer students must have a 3.0 GPA.
The Dual Admission Program in mental health counseling normally requires four years of undergraduate education and three years of graduate study.
