Accounting
Description
The NSU master of accounting, offered through the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship, is structured to meet the fifth-year requirement mandated by most states to sit for the CPA exam. An undergraduate degree in accounting or finance (with an accounting minor) is required to enter the Master of Accounting Program.
Requirements
The Dual Admission Program in accounting is open to both freshmen and transfer students. Candidates should pursue a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (with an accounting minor), including the prerequisite business courses. They must have a 3.0 GPA and a combined 1000 SAT score (SAT scores are not required for graduates of the Florida Community College Honors Program with an associate of arts). A preadmission interview is not required.
The Dual Admission Program in accounting normally requires four years of undergraduate education and 12 to 18 months of graduate study.
