The international studies major, within the college's Division of Humanities, is designed for students who wish to pursue an interdisciplinary approach to the global environment and who wish to gain a deeper understanding of a particular region outside of the United States. Courses highlighting the art, culture, history, law, literature, and government of various regions will be offered. Students in this major will develop critical thinking, close reading, and analytical writing skills. An international studies major prepares students for a wide variety of careers in such fields as politics, law, business, journalism, education, public relations, research, and government.
