Prior to attending Nova Southeastern University, you may have already earned credits toward your degree.
Articulation Agreements
NSU maintains articulation agreements with Florida's community colleges. For financial aid purposes, students transferring from a Florida community college with an associate of arts degree (awarded 1993 or later) will be granted junior standing at NSU. NSU also maintains articulation agreements with several independent two-year colleges. These agreements are subject to change. For a list of current agreements, students should contact an NSU admissions counselor.
Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate Equivalents
Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate courses offer high school students an opportunity to take challenging college-level courses and earn credits toward their undergraduate degrees. NSU awards credit for successful AP/IB work. To qualify, students must provide official high school transcripts that note AP or IB exam scores.

Prior Learning
Because Nova Southeastern University recognizes that much learning takes place outside the classroom, we have established a prior learning program that allows undergraduate students to earn credits in addition to college class credit hours. Students must initiate any and all prior learning requests, as well as examinations for credit, before they complete 24 credits at Nova Southeastern University. Approved prior learning credits will be reflected on the student’s transcript after 12 credits are successfully completed.
