Distinguished Speakers Series

The Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences brings prominent leaders from various fields to campus through the Distinguished Speakers Series. Special supporting events often occur in conjunction with these visits.

Performing and Visual Arts

The Division of Performing and Visual Arts in the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences presents theatre, dance, music, and other artistic productions to complement academic majors and courses.

Student Newsletter

The Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences Student Newsletter informs students of important semester dates, college services, scholarship opportunities, and noteworthy events.

Farquhar Student Journal

The Farquhar Student Journal, an online journal, is devoted to research and exploration by students of the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences and other undergraduate students at NSU. It serves as a forum for research as well as commentary, and is open to a variety of forms—original, scholarly activity such as quantitative and/or qualitative research studies, critical commentaries, editorials, or debates concerning pertinent issues and topics.

After review of submissions by a faculty and student editorial board, the Farquhar Student Journal will publish the best work submitted by undergraduate students, which may include, but not be limited to, the following:

The journal is published online twice each academic year—issue #1 in the fall and issue #2 in the spring of the next calendar year. There are two issues per volume. Only original manuscripts (not published or accepted for publication elsewhere) will be accepted.
