The money raised through the Annual Fund program is applied in a variety of ways. Donors have the opportunity to apply a gift to a specific area or make a donation that will be applied to the area of greatest need. Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences faculty help create better futures for students by preparing them to become tomorrow's leaders. Professors with strong research and teaching skills are aggressively sought by all universities. Contributions in the form of Faculty Endowments will help the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences support, recruit, and retain high caliber faculty members.

Research helps promote academic excellence. Gifts funding research equipment and/or activities provide the resources that students and faculty need to help solve some of the most challenging problems that society faces. Your support provides our faculty and students the means to investigate, discover, and share their findings with the larger community. Such generosity helps to preserve the great tradition of academic inquiry that is such an essential element in the creation of new knowledge.

Nova Southeastern University is expanding undergraduate enrollment to develop a vibrant academic community that will provide a fertile environment for scholarship, publication, academic discussion, and cultural life. There are 5,500 undergraduate students currently enrolled at NSU and the enrollment of the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences, in particular, is expected to double within the next five years. 

With such rapid growth, the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences requires more class, laboratory, and office space to house new and expanded programs. The college's Performing and Visual Arts programs serve to showcase student and faculty artists, act as a catalyst for South Florida performing arts organizations, and provide a state-of-the-art instructional laboratory where NSU students and faculty members can extend their capabilities for creative expression.
